11 Things I Will Be Doing This Summer to Start Being a Girl Boss

Summer is coming! I’m so excited to be off college for 3 months. Last summer, I spent all my time on Netflix and eating junk food. But this summer, I really want to step up my game. I’m starting a new journey where I make myself a priority and I stop making excuses. I’ve been really busy lately with my college work, assignments and exams. So, I’m going to take advantage of this 3-month rest I luckily have.

There are a lot of things that I need to start implementing this year. Cause time is going so fast and life is really short. Goals are not going to be achieved on their own, work hard is needed and I’m willing to do it. This summer, I want to implement 11 things that I actually believe can help me begin with my own Girl Boss Attitude.

Lately, I’ve been watching some YouTube videos about inspirational women, and how they increased their brand and name by working hard and leaving negativity and fears behind. I felt so inspired, that I don’t want to waste more time just planning and not doing.

1. Grow the blog

I’ve been really absent on the blog lately. And not just because of the lack of time, but the lack of inspiration. I’ve been having some issues to actually focus on things or write about something that I actually care about. So, I am back. I’ve been doing some research, planning, and writing some of the topics that I actually know about and can share about.Β Cause, to be honest, I was just writing things because I thought those were interesting, but in reality, I would never read them.

I will be doing some pins for Pinterest, so the blog increases its traffic. I will be implementing more SEO. And instead of being too focused on the blog’s appearance, I will be creating the content. I’m going to stop investing money and start creating more. I believe the blog and I have more potential, and I’m willing to step out of my comfort zone and leave behind those fears to start working on the community I want to build.

2. Use the Law of Attraction

Having a positive and vicious mindset can create lots of amazing things. I’ve listened about the law of attraction millions of times. But I haven’t actually focused on it. I will be listening to more podcasts and using some of the technics that other bloggers or YouTubers use. Maybe if this work I will do a post about it.

3. Drink more water every day

Drinking water is something that we all need to be doing. Mostly in summer. Temperature increases on a big scale and we all need to be hydrated all day long. I personally don’t like water. But I’ve been trying to find some ways to include that daily intake in my diet.

4. Change my sleeping habits

My sleeping schedule is a mess. Every time I try to sleep early I end up falling asleep at 2 am. So, this definitely needs to change. I will be trying to sleep between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm every single day. I’ll be doing some research and using some essential oils to achieve this one.

5. Start working out

This particular one has been a real pain in the ass. I’ve been so lazy my whole life, that I just can’t stick to working out. But this time I gotta try. And not just because of the body image, but because of health. I’ve been pinning some inspirational quotes and ideas.Β  Those are 2 of the things that can help create a new fitness mindset.

6. Create an Instagram feed

I’ve been finding some Instagram feed inspiration on Pinterest. And I’ve been trying to find an aesthetic that I actually like and believe I can recreate or create. This is something I’ve been trying to do for a long time now. But never stick to it. So, whenever I have free time I just go to Pinterest and find some photo ideas I can actually recreate. Also, I’ve been playing around with Lightroom and it’s a really cool app. Gonna be using that one a lot.

7. Practice Italian & French languages

I was taking Italian classes in college and 3 weeks ago I had my final exam. It went really great. But now I really have to keep practicing it. Languages are, in my personal opinion, something that can help you grow immensely. Knowing several languages can make you interact with more people all over the globe. I truly believe this is something we all should be doing.

8. Meditate at least twice a week

Meditation has been part of my life for 1 year I believe and it has helped me in some of the weirdest and darkest moments. I’m not a professional in this art, but I’ve been finding and discovering some techniques that help with meditation and mind relaxation.

9. Take good care of my skin

This is something I’ve been doing for 6 months now. I’ve been using special creams and products to protect my skin from dryness and my atopic dermatitis. It’s been really hard to maintain good skin, because with atopic dermatitis, skin gets really dry and when I have high levels of stress. My skin gets so dry that it starts bleeding with a simple scratch. So, I really need to keep working on this.

10. Increase self-esteem and self-confidence

Self-esteem and self-confidence are life changers. These are 2 of the most powerful tools every Girl Boss needs. These two things can help you with success or drop you down. There are lots of exercises and worksheets that can help you with this. Also, going to the therapist is always a good option. Professionals can help you a lot. I went to the psychology department in college and in 4 months I changed a lot of my perspectives and I felt more secure and confident.

11. Enjoy Life

Sometimes I just focus a lot on behind the scenes that I actually forget to enjoy the show. Enjoying what we have at the moment is one of the best things that we can do. Let’s stop thinking about the past or worrying so much about the future. We have to be grateful for the things we have at this exact moment. Life is such a beautiful thing and it only happens once. So, let’s stop worrying about what others would think, what others are going to say, just enjoy. Be happy, grateful and say the people who surround you how much you appreciate or love them.
