I’ve been trying to lose some pounds but I just can’t reach my weight goal. I’ve learned some things while attempting to reach my goal, and today I’m gonna share those with you. I hope you find it entertaining.

I’m just sharing an opinion and everyone should be proud of the way they look. Remember I want to share positivity and not hate. Also, I have to point out that all of this are things that I’ve learned through my own losing weight journey. I’m not an expert on the topic and clearly all the information is from a doctors mouth. Please make sure you talk with a professional every time you want to start a losing weight or gaining weight program. Always make sure your health is in a safe position.
When I was about 13 or 14 years old I was so skinny. I could eat everything I wanted and nothing will make me gain weight. Until, I went to France for a month and everything changed. I gain 8 kilos in that month. All the processed food did the gaining weight work. When I came back I wanted to lose that weight and be skinny again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that easy. I’m not a huge fan of exercising, I’m lazy guys. But I knew I needed to start a healthy lifestyle if I wanted to achieve that goal. I started doing some workout routines and eating healthy for few months, but then I got tired and stopped.
Since then, I’ve been trying to be back in shape. But nothing seems to keep me motivated more than 3 to 4 months. I’m impatient, I want to see quick results or I just quit. Which is actually something really bad, cause this is one of the main problems why people don’t lose weight. I’ve tried different things and every single day I walk to college, I drink tons of water and I try to eat healthy. But that’s not enough, if I really want to lose weight and be on a good shape, I need to do exercise. After a lot of investigation and learning some things about my own body. I realized that there are 5 common problems that we all have when we want to lose weight.
1.- Wanting quick results:
Being impatient is one of the most common struggles people have. Not sticking to a fitness and healthy lifestyle for 5 months minimum is a big mistake. Results will take time and effort. A positive and patient mindset is needed here.
2.- Starving themselves:
Another common problem is when people starve themselves. I’ve read before on health magazines and even some doctors I’ve gone to, say that starving yourself will make you feel tired and with no energy. You’ll feel bloated and your health will not be in a good position. And it actually it is kinda obvious, our body needs food. Never starve yourself.
3.- Not having breakfast
Here is another common mistake. Not having breakfast, which is one of the most important meals of the day, can make you feel tired and sleepy. Having a full healthy breakfast can change your energy levels and even your mood. I know sometimes giving yourself the time to cook something in the morning while having a rush it’s really difficult. But believe me you’ll need to make the time. You’ll feel so much better. You can find easy recipes on Pinterest or YouTube.
4.- Thinking that diets will do all the work
Diets are a really good method to lose weight if they’re joined with exercise. NO diet will work if you don’t exercise regularly. There are lots of detox diets that are supposed to work and maybe they do. But when you stop using them, you’ll gain all that fat again. You can work out 4-5 times a week for 30-45 minutes. You’ll see good results, and according to some sources you’ll start noticing big changes after 3 months.
5.- Not eating at least 5 times a day
People tend to think that when you eat more you’ll gain more weight. But the truth is that having 3 big meals a day and 2 snacks can accelerate your metabolism. If you don’t eat regularly your stomach will start to become lazy, your metabolism will slow down, and fat will start to accumulate. Remember that those meals need to include carbohydrates, protein, fats, fruits and vegetables.
Changing those 5 common mistakes can make a huge difference on the losing weight process. If you have the chance, make an appointment with a nutritionist, they know more about all the food you actually need to eat. They can help you a lot. If you can afford and if you would like to, pay a gym membership and workout regularly. If you’re more comfortable on working out at home. There are lots of workout routines on Pinterest and YouTube. You don’t need to spend tons of money. You just need to have willpower and try to keep inspired along your journey.
